RECENTLY

Dordt lost to Ottawa on March 18, 2023 by set scores of 26-24, 25-22, 25-23.  Andres Guzman had 13 kills in the loss and Caleb Kulesza accounted for 11 kills. Lukas Van Groningen put up 36 assists and Robert Piekarz got to 19 digs.  Dordt had 26 attack errors in the loss while Ottawa had nine.

Morningside turned away Central Christian 25-12, 25-15, 25-8 on March 25. Kahakai Kahoiwai had a team high 10 kills int eh win on Saturday and Erik Krenz had eight kills with Natan Alves adding six. The Mustangs totaled 13 service aces and limited Central Christian to 13 kills.
 

THE SERIES

Dordt leads the series 8-4 with Morningside and has won seven in a row dating back to a February 12, 2020 loss to the Mustangs. Dordt prevailed on March 17 of this season 25-19, 25-23, 21-25, 25-19 with Andres Guzman leading the way with 17 kills and Caleb Kulesza had 13.  Luke Nelson added 10 and Lukas Van Groningen put up 40 assists. Morningsde was paced by Natan Alves with 19 kills and Kahoiwai added nine.

In the first meeting of the teams on February 16 Dordt prevailed 25-16, 25-16, 25-11. Kulesza ad 11 kills while Brady Frost and Andres Guzman each had seven with Nelson accounting for four blocks.

NEXT

The winner of this match will face the winner of the Jamestown vs Ottawa match being played Wednesday night as well.  If Jamestown wins they will host the title match on Saturday.  If Ottawa wins they would travel to face either Dordt or Morningside.
