(Friday, April 21; Sioux Center, Iowa) Victoria Granda Benavides, a student at Western Nebraska Community College has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender soccer program.
"We are excited to have Vicky join our team for the 2023 season. She impressed us during the recruitment process with her strong commitment to spiritual growth, academic achievements, and desire to be a great teammate. Vicky's addition will be a significant asset to our program," said Dordt Head Soccer Coach Alex Durbin.
Benavidas is a midfielder and she scored a goal with two assists for the Cougars this season and she started 14 contests.
Vicky is plans to study biomedical engineering. She's the daughter of Roberth Granda and Nadya Benavides of Quito, Ecaudor.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).?
