Stoltzfus Added To Defender Soccer

(Friday, April 21; Sioux Center, Iowa) Anneka Stoltzfus, a senior at Pella High School (Iowa), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender soccer program.  

"We are pleased to announce that Anneka will be joining our program for the upcoming 2023 season. In our recruiting process, Anneka demonstrated exceptional qualities that align with our values and expectations. Her commitment to personal and spiritual growth, academic achievements, and outstanding teamwork make her an outstanding addition to our team. We eagerly anticipate her arrival on campus in August," said Dordt Soccer Coach Alex Durbin.  

Stoltzfus earned all-state and all-district honors in 2022 and has played mostly defense and midfield.  She's also played for the Iowa Rush South. 

"I chose Dordt because of the Christ-centered education and athletics. I also am excited to continue playing the sport I love," said Stoltzfus.  

Anneka is the daughter of Amy Van Donselaar of Pella, Iowa. She plans to study education at Dordt.   

Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).?    

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
