The Dordt Defender baseball team will play a pair of doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday, April 28 and 29 against Northwestern. The Friday doubleheader gets started at 4:00 and the Saturday games are slated to start at 1:00.

RECENTLY

Dordt lost a pair of 5-4 decisions to Mount Marty on Monday, April 24.  The first game went 10 innings with Drew Oreskes tying it at 2-2 in the sixth and that score stood up until the 10^th inning when Mount Marty broke through with three runs. Dordt answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning but left the tying run at first base. Game two saw Mount Marty take a 5-1 but Dordt got a two-run homerun from Kaeden Davis in the fifth and a Juan Sanchez homerun to get within 5-4.

Northwestern was last in action on April 24 when it split games with Jamestown in Orange City.  The Raiders won game one 4-3 and lost game two 10-5. Northwestern won the opener with a run in the ninth inning and Stanford had three hits and scored two runs, including the game winner. Jamestown then took the nightcap with nine unanswered over the final two innings, including seven in the seventh inning for the five-run win.

THE SERIES

Northwestern owns a seven game winning streak in the series with the last four coming on April 28 and 29, 2022 in Orange City.
