Jasper To Compete For Defender Track

(Monday, April 24; Sioux Center, Iowa) Joscelin Jasper, a student at the University of South Dakota, has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the track & field program.  

Jasper ran the hurdles for Sioux Falls Christian High School and has personal bests of 11.02 in the 60-meter hurdles, 17.2 in the 100-meter hurdles, 50.93 in the 300-meter hurdles and 14-6 in the long jump. 

"I wanted to attend Dordt because Christ is taught in all classes. I am looking forward school that is faith based and I would like to be a part of a good community of Christians that will help deepen my faith," said Jasper.  

Joscelin is the daughter of Jason and Renita Jasper of Harrisburg, South Dakota. She plans to study biology.  

Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).?    

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
