Baseball Signs Vander Molen

(Tuesday, May 9; Sioux Center, Iowa) Lincoln Vander Molen, a senior at Pella Christian High School (Iowa), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender baseball program.  

Lincoln Vander Molen has played pitcher, first base and third base for Pella Christian and has a 4.00 earned run average in 36 1/3 innings pitched and earned all-conference honorable mention during his career.   

"I really enjoyed the people all around campus. I especially enjoyed Coach Bacon and his message about how we are called to compete as Christians and his desire to win. I think it will be a good place to pursue baseball as well as academic success," said Vander Molen.  

Lincoln is the son of Tim and Verna Vander Molen of Pella, Iowa. He plans to study business administration

Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).?    

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
