Victoria Granda soccer commit

Granda To Join Defender Soccer

(Thursday, May 25; Sioux Center, Iowa) Victoria Granda, a student at Western Nebraska Community College, has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the soccer program.  

"We are very excited to have Vicky joining us this fall. Vicky will be a phenomenal fit for our program as she has helped lead the FCA at WNCC and was a standout athlete. Looking forward to seeing her in a Dordt jersey in August," said Dordt soccer coach Alex Durbin

Granda is listed as a midfielder and had a goal and two assists for Western Nebraska while starting all 14 games she played in. while helping the Cougars to a 7-7 record.  

Victoria is the daughter of Roberth Granda and Nadya Benavides of Quito, Ecuador.  She plans to study engineering. 

Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).?   

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
