Jang To Play Volleyball For Defenders

(Wednesday, May 31; Sioux Center, Iowa) Joseph Jang, a senior at Abbotsford Christian School (British Columbia), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender men's volleyball program. 

Jang is a 6-1 setter and competed in AA volleyball where was a Christian School First-Team All-Star and an East Valley First-Team All-Star.  

"I chose Dordt University because it provides a good environment for me to grow as an athlete, as a student, but most importantly as a Christian. I am very grateful to be attending Dordt this upcoming year," said Jang.  

Joseph is the son of Eunsook Kim and Gyung Ho Jang and plans to study engineering.  

Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).?    

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
