Box Score The Dordt University men's soccer team lost their season opener to William Woods (Mo.) 1-0 in a match played tonight under the lights of Firley Field in Fulton, Mo.

Scoreless at the half, the host Owls scored the game-winner during the 53rd minute when Miles Andrews received a cross from Breck McGrail and touched it past Defender goalkeeper
Brandon Hansen.Â
Dordt had its best chances for the equalizer on a pair of corner kicks during the final 25 minutes and on a free kick from 25-yards out with just seconds to go.
"Tonight was a battle," commented Dordt University Head Coach Eric Bourdo. "At this level, teams will make you pay for mistakes. We will continue to learn from this and be ready for another tough match on Saturday against Avila."
