Houser to play soccer for the Defenders

Allison Houser (Carson, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to attend Dordt University and join the Defender soccer program.

Houser competes in both soccer and track and field for Treynor High School. A midfielder and forward in soccer, Houser has earned all-conference honors three years heading into her final season this spring. Houser was part of a Cardinals team that played at the state tournament in 2021 and has totaled 14 points (5 goals, 4 assists) in her career. She is a three-time state qualifier in track and field and competed at the Drake Relays in 2023.

"I chose to attend Dordt because I felt comfortable and right at home when I went on my campus visits," said Houser. "I loved the community and how faith was so integral in the classroom and in athletics."

Houser plays for the Majestic 402 and Gretna Elite Academy Club teams where she has won championships in both the Kansas City League and Vail Valley Cup. She plans to study Nursing at Dordt and is the daughter of Devin and Kami.
