The Dordt Defender women's and men's swim teams competed at the Spire Relays on October 12 at Lansing, Kansas. The Defenders totaled 26 points in the men's standings and 28 in the women's standings in the four-team competition.
The women were highlighted by a win in the 100 yard freestyle relay with
Ellie Junk,
Emily Bandelin,
Paige Corkill and
Lucy Borofka winning the event with a 51.29. The women's 200 yard freestyle relay of the same four finished second in 1:49.39. Corkill,
Abby Allen, Bandelin and Borofka also finished second along with the mixed 200 yard medley relay team. Borofka, Junk,
Drew Folkerts and
Marcus Seifert swam 1:50.6 to claim second.
