The Dordt Defender men's basketball team never trailed and won an 89-62 decision over Dakota State on Wednesday night at the Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Dordt improved to 5-0 with the win.

Dordt led by as many as seven early but the Trojans trimmed the lead to 20-16 at the 7:33 and had the ball after a steal and a timeout.
Ben Fairclough recorded a blocked shot on the ensuing play and
Bryce Coppock scored a basket for a 22-16 lead and started an 8-0 run that ended with
Jake Hargens scoring with 4:31 left in the half. Dordt's lead was never single digits the rest of the game as Dordt led 38-24 at halftime.
The Defenders scored six straight points to start the second half and were never challenged with a lead of over 20 points in the final 15 minutes.
