Baseball | Rylan Boe Commit

(Monday, November 18; Sioux Center, Iowa) Rylan Boe, a senior at Harrisburg High School (South Dakota), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender baseball program.  

"We are excited to welcome Rylan to the Defender Baseball program. He is a competitor and looks to be a great addition to our pitching staff," said Dordt baseball coach Rylan Boe. 

Boe is a righthanded pitcher and infielder and pitched 60 2/3 innings with a 5-4 record, 66 strikeouts and pitched two no-hitters.  

"I felt like Dordt was home and it felt like where I need to be. It's a good Christian school with good coaches and lots of amazing people," said Boe.  

Rylan is the son of Trent and Lisa Boe of Harrisburg, South Dakota and he plans to study business administration.  

Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).     

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
