The Dordt Defenders earned an 80-57 win over the College of the Ozarks on Saturday morning, November 9 in Orange City. The Defenders are now 3-0 this season and will resume play on Wednesday, November 13.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Dordt never relinquished the lead after breaking an 8-8 tie on an
Olivia Harazin field goals that ignited an eventual 9-1 to end the first quarter. A free throw by
Ellie Lems followed by a basket from the sophomore and a
Janie Van Donge basket extended the lead to 22-9. The Defenders maintained at least a nine point lead and Dordt led 36-21 at halftime.
Dordt used a 25-19 third quarter advantage to increase the lead to 61-40 at the end of the third period and were never challenged in the 80-57 final.
THE NUMBERS
Dordt was 29-69 shooting from the field for 42 percent and had a 52-43 rebounding advantage.
The College of the Ozarks was 22-73 from the field for 30 percent success and committed 17 turnovers.

Dordt will face Dakota State on Wednesday, November 13 at the Pentagon in Sioux Falls and open GPAC play on Saturday, November 16 in Omaha against the College of Saint Mary.
