(Thursday, December 26; Sioux Center, Iowa) Gavin Christensen, a senior at St. Croix Lutheran High School (Wisconsin), has announced his intention to attend Dordt University and join the Defender football program.

  • Why Dordt: "I chose to attend Dordt University because I truly love their vision and all of what they stand for. The times I've been there all I've felt is love and I've loved the campus from the first time I visited. I also love their engineering program and their football team as a whole. The best part of it all is Dordt will help me stay connected to my faith through college. Dordt is the perfect university for me."
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).    

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
