(Wednesday, February 14; Sioux Center, Iowa) Owen Miranowski, a senior at Palmer Ridge High School (Colorado), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender football program.  

Miranowski totaled 57 tackles in 2023 with two fumble recoveries.  The 6-0, 205 pound linebacker, tight end and defensive lineman, earned first-team all-conference honors in 2023 and was an honorable mention honoree in 2022. Miranowski had 145 career tackles with 12 sacks and he also had seven forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries. He was selected to play in the 2024 Colorado High School Coaches Association All-State game.    

"I chose Dordt University because I have always tried to live my life by the values of faith, family and education. After multiple visits to campus, the coaches, players, professors and students made me feel at home. I knew Dordt was the perfect place for me to grow as a man of faith, as a student and as an athlete," said Miranowski.  

Owen is the son of Jason and Marsha Miranowski of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He plans to study construction management

Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).    

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
