Anna Schenk (Olathe, Kan.) has signed a letter of intent to attend Dordt University and join the Defender women's soccer program.
Schenk is a multi-sports standout who has played three years for the Heritage Christan Academy (Kan.) soccer team heading into her final season this spring. Schenk totaled 24 points, scoring eight goals to go with six assists, in leading her team to an 8-2 district record, 11-6-1 overall, as a junior. She earned second team all-state and first team all-conference accolades. Schenk also played volleyball and basketball for Heritage Christian Academy where she earned Class 3A All-Tournament Team honors at the 2023 Kansas State High School Activities Association State Championship. She also was an all-conference pick in both volleyball and basketball.
"I chose to attend Dordt because its a place where I can receive a great education, get the opportunity to play soccer and can be reminded daily of my identity in Christ," stated Schenk.
Schenk plans to major in Education at Dordt and is the daughter of Dave and Liz.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
