Elena MacAdam (Colorado Springs, Colo.) has signed a letter of intent to attend Dordt University and join the Defender women's soccer program.
MacAdam is a 5'4" defender who has played four years for the Colorado Springs Christian girls' soccer team heading into her final season this spring. A three-year starter, MacAdam helped lead her team to the 2A State Championship in 2023 with an undefeated record. She was part of a defense that posted 11 shutouts and allowed just four goals for the entire 2023 campaign. MacAdam scored six goals and totaled six assists last year and has been part of a Colorado Springs Christian program that is 38-9-1 and has qualified for state in each of the last three years.
"I chose to attend Dordt because of the outstanding culture of the school," said MacAdam. "Everyone I met was so welcoming and friendly. Dordt is a place for me to grow as a player, as a person and in my faith."
MacAdam plans to major in Elementary Education at Dordt and is the daughter of Tom and Amy.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
