HOW IT HAPPENED
The Dordt Defenders lost a 3-0 decision to Jamestown in GPAC volleyball on Thursday night in Jamestown, North Dakota.
The Jimmies took a 9-2 lead in set one and never led by less than three and won by a 25-20 margin. Dordt had it down to a 20-17 difference after three straight points on a service error and two attack errors but a kill ended the run and the teams traded points the rest of the way for the final.
Dordt bounced back to take a 7-2 lead but Jamestown tied it 8-8 and it was tied 10-10. The teams were tied again at 12, 14 and 18 before three points in a row by the Jimmies and Jamestown was a 25-21 winner.
The Defenders weren't able to mount much of a threat in set three and lost the set 25-17.
