GAME 1
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Dordt Defender baseball team lost a 3-2 decision to Midland on Monday, April 29 in Fremont, Nebraska. Midland scored the go ahead run in the fourth and held on.
Dordt scored in the third inning with a
Logan Harris single knocking in Nathan Eliason. Midland came back with two in the home half of the inning on a pair of solo homeruns.
Dordt got a run back to tie it on a
Drew Oreskes homerun but Midland had an answer in the home half of the fourth inning. Â Dordt's Eliason and Harris both reached in the fifth but Eliason was cut down trying to score on a rundown. Dordt had the tying run on in the sixth and seventh but couldn't get extend the game.

- Drew Oreskes was 3-3 with two singles and a homerun.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Dordt staged a late comeback but came up short in a 10-7 setback to Midland to end the season.
Dordt got a run in the third inning with
Joseph Schlesselman clubbing a solo home run. Midland came back with five in the third and Dordt scored a run in the top of the fourth as
Drew Oreskes came in to score on a fielder's choice.
Midland added five more in the home half of the fourth and led 10-2 until Dordt got five as Schlesselman walked with the bases loaded to get Oreskes in and
Logan De Vries followed with a grand slam Dordt threatened again in the seventh with two runners on but a strike out ended the game with the tying run at the plate.
