HOW IT HAPPENED


The Mount Marty Lancers scored two in the fourth and two in the fifth on the way to a 5-0 win.

Dordt's best chance came in the sixth inning when Nathan Eliason and Logan Harris reached with a walk and a single but were stranded at second and third with a pair of strikeouts ending the inning.

Dordt also had Jason Carrig and Dylan Stanley on with a single and walk respectively in the fourth inning but they were stranded.

HOW IT HAPPENED


Dordt bounced back from an early 1-0 deficit to defeat Mount Marty in game two of its doubleheader in Yankton on Friday afternoon.

Dordt scored four in the top of the seventh to take a 5-1 lead and went on to win 8-3. Dordt's first run came on a Drew Oreskes single that scored Dylan Stanley.  Morgan Wilkins and Logan De Vries both singled in runs in the seventh and Josh Tiersma scored on an error.  Logan Harris knocked in a run with a single for the final run of the inning.

Mount Marty answered with two in the hoe half of the inning but Dordt's response came in the eighth on singles by Tiersma and De Vries and De Vries scored on a wild pitch to end the scoring.

Dordt will face Doane on Saturday, April 6 at 10am.
