Anneliese Nyman (Exeter, Ontario) has signed a letter of intent to attend Dordt University and join the Defender women's soccer program.  

Nyman is a 5'7" midfielder who played multiple seasons for the Providence  Reformed Collegiate soccer team and the St.Columban Soccer Club team. Nyman helped lead St.Columban to the Tier 1 District Cup and League Championship as well as a second place finish in both 2022 and 2023 for the Ontario Christian Secondary School Athletic Association (OCSSAA). 

"I chose to attend Dordt because of its friendly and welcoming environment, " commented Nyman. "Dordt is a place where Christ is at the center of everything they do and I look forward to growing in my faith, in my education and in my athletic career."

Nyman plans to major in Exercise Science at Dordt and is the daughter of Fred and Jennifer.

Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).    

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
