Abi Keltner (Morton, Illinois) has signed a letter of intent to attend Dordt University and join the Defenders women's soccer program.
Keltner is a 5'1" defensive midfielder and defender who lettered one year for Morton High School and played five seasons of Club Soccer, most recently with the Chicago Inter Soccer Club. Keltner helped lead Morton High School to a second place finish in the conference and third in sectionals. She also played for a club team that reached the quarterfinals of the Illinois State Cup in 2021.
"I chose to attend Dordt because of the vision that Coach Durbin has for the women's soccer program," said Keltner. "I enjoyed the team practice that I was able to attend and the players were very welcoming. The Nursing program at Dordt is awesome and will set me up for great success academically."
Keltner plans to major in Nursing at Dordt and is the daughter of Colleen and Andy.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
