Henry Haufler (Commerce City, Colo.) has signed a letter of intent to attend Dordt University and join the Defender men's soccer program.
Haufler had a standout career playing the center midfield position for both Eagle Ridge Academy and the Colorado Rapids Elite Soccer Club. Haufler earned first team all-conference honors two years and totaled 51 points (17 goals, 17 assists) for his career at Eagle Ridge. He helped lead his team to the State Cup Finals in 2022 and was the playoff goals leader.
Haufler was part of three teams that won the Real Cup (2022-24) and led his club team to the round of 16 at nationals in 2024.
"I chose to attend Dordt University because of its Christian community," said Haufler. "Dordt is a place where I get to pursue my academic interests while also continuing to play soccer at a high level."
Haufler plans to study Health and Human Performance at Dordt. He is the son of Tiffany and Larry.
