Pedro Menezes (Cascais, Portugal) has signed a letter of intent to attend Dordt University and join the Defender men's soccer program.
Menezes transfers to the Defenders program after playing one season for both Eastern New Mexico University (NCAA D-II) and Harcum College (NJCAA D-I).
Menezes played in 11 games with six starts as a defender during the 2022 season for Eastern New Mexico where he helped lead the Greyhounds to a 5-8-2 overall record. He was named to the Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.
In one season (2021) playing for Harcum College, he scored one goal and helped lead the Bears to an 11-1 record.
Menezes plans to study Business Administration and Finance at Dordt. He is the son of Joao and Ana.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).
