Trigve Elkins (Zeeland, Mich.) has signed a letter of intent to attend Dordt University and join the Defender men's soccer program.
Elkins is a 6'1" forward who played for both the Zeeland West High School the Michigan Rangers Soccer Club. Elkins earned all-state honors and helped lead Zeeland West to a 14-4-3 record as a senior. He was also named to the Holland Sentinel All-Area team
"I chose to attend Dordt University because of its Christ-centered emphasis on all things," commented Elkins.
Elkins plans to study Business at Dordt. He is the son of Darrel.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
