LAST TIME

Two weeks ago Dordt beat Midland 38-20 in Fremont in the season opener.  Dordt had a 21-0 lead late in the first half and 24-7 at halftime. Dordt was up 38-7 after a Brendan Pieper touchdown.  Midland scored two touchdowns late after the end was no longer in doubt.

Dordt scored on its first three possessions and held Midland to -3 yards net rushing.

Hastings beat Briar Cliff on Saturday, September 21 in Hastings. The Broncos were up 21-20 with 3:12 left in the first half and led 34-22 at halftime.   The Broncos gained one more two-possession difference late in the game 44-35 after a Xander Salyers field goal with 5:13 left in the game.

Carson Kudlacek was 10-24 passing with three touchdowns and Cassius Campbell was 4-7 passing. Ethan Wilborn and Eli Nappe caught four and five passes each for 150 and 63 yards respectively.  Hastings also took advantage of a short field in the first half for an early score.
