Defenders Earn Convincing Home Win

The Dordt Defenders took control early and secured their first win of the GPAC season on Wednesday, October 1 against Waldorf in Sioux Center, Iowa.

The Defenders wasted no time setting the tone. Just 2:26 into the match, Marco Laenen finished off a feed from Tate Hansen to give Dordt the early lead. Dordt doubled the advantage in the 34th minute when Stephen Schreurs scored, assisted by Muluken Kamm. Minutes later, Trigve Elkins scored on an assist by Tyler Van Hofwegen in the 40th minute to make it 3-0 heading into halftime.

The second half saw Dordt continue its pressure, adding two more goals. Elkins scored his second of the night in the 72nd minute, assisted by Jacob Narkis, before Kamm capped the scoring two minutes later with a goal on an assist from Tomas Estrada.
