Box Score The Dordt women won its second shutout in a row with a 7-0 win over Waldorf on Wednesday night to stay unbeaten in GPAC play.
The Defenders picked up three points and take sole possession of first place in the in the GPAC standings.
Dordt wasted no time asserting control, scoring six first-half goals to put the contest out of reach early. Junior forward
Karinna Tel netted a first-half hat trick, striking in the 4th, 7th and 12th minutes. She opened the scoring off a pass from
Jenna Roberts, added an unassisted goal minutes later, and then finished Roberts' second assist in the 12th.
Roberts added a goal of her own in the 17th minute, assisted by
Maria Zylstra, before
Joslyn Terpstra scored in the 30th minute on a feed from Tel. Zylstra capped the first-half scoring in the 42nd minute, with
Brooke Marjama providing the assist. Dordt carried a commanding 6-0 lead into the break.
In the second half, Dordt kept pressing and found a seventh goal in the 72nd minute when
Kelli Waypa finished off a pass from
Kendal Gordon to close out the scoring. The Defenders maintained control on both ends of the field, holding Waldorf without a single shot on-goal.
