Dordt opened the scoring less than four minutes into the game when Thomas Fritz broke free for a 44-yard touchdown run to cap a short 48-yard drive. After a defensive stop, the Defenders struck again just two plays later as Fritz sprinted 45 yards for his second score and a 14–0 lead. Dordt's next drive needed only two plays—quarterback Noah Strickfaden connected with Eliot Beal for a 29-yard touchdown pass with 6:08 left in the first quarter to make it 21–0.

In the second quarter, Strickfaden and Beal hooked up again, this time for a 53-yard strike, extending the lead to 28–0. Dordt capitalized on a fumble recovery moments later as Strickfaden found Rhett Williams from 32 yards out for another score. Beal completed a remarkable first half with his third touchdown grab—this one from 24 yards with 1:28 left before halftime—to push the margin to 42–0.

Backup quarterback Kolson Kruse took over in the third quarter and led a seven-play, 65-yard drive capped by a 16-yard touchdown pass to Isaac Looker. After a quick defensive stop, Preston McCoy found the end zone on a 37-yard touchdown run, pushing Dordt's lead to 56–0. Waldorf's lone score came late in the third quarter on an 18-yard pass from Derrick Taylor to Angel Ruiz. Dordt closed the scoring in the fourth when Stephen Leinen drilled a 37-yard field goal for the 59–7 final.
