Dordt needed overtime 86-80 on February 5, 2025 after Dordt had a 30-10 lead after one quarter. Northwestern responded to get within 43-36 at halftime and Dordt was up  by 11 with 5:41 remaining in the game. Northwestern tied it on a three-point basket at the buzzer but surrendered six points in a row to start the overtime and Dordt controlled the extra five minutes.
