Dordt held on to win a 73-71 decision from Northwestern on Wednesday night with a Macy Sievers basket with under :05 left and a blocked shot by Willow Bleeker at the horn sealing the win.

THE SERIES
Dordt trails the series since it began in 2020, 31-15.   Dordt has won 11 of the last 12 and won two out of three last season.  Dordt was an 82-54 winner on December 14 in Sioux Center and Hastings reversed the outcome with a 91-83 win on February 1. Dordt took the GPAC semifinal meeting on March 1.
 
In the March 1, meeting Dordt had a 64-52 lead entering the fourth quarter  and Dordt led by as many as 15 before Hastings rallied to  within 74-73 with :29 left in the game. A pair of Janie Van Donge free throws extended the lead to three and a pair of Van Donge free throws after a Hastings miss gave Dordt breathing room before winning by the eventual seven point difference.
 
Ann Bose led Hastings with 20 points and Tathis Arredondo added 11. Dordt was topped by Van Donge's 16 points and 11 rebounds and Ellie Lems had 11 points. Macy Sievers added nine points, 12 assists and seven rebounds.
