The Dordt Defender hockey team was a 4-0 winner over Missouri State on Friday, November 7 while winning their 14
th in a row.
The game, which didn't begin until 9:45 and concluded at midnight saw
Emmett Riley score first on an assist by
Levi Loken and
Isaac Baart and
Nick Espenson added a goal in the fifth minute of the second period to extend the lead. Espenson assisted
Rylan Veenstra moments later for a 3-0 advantage and Teagan Doelman also received credit for an assist on the goal. Veenstra scored his 19
th goal of the season at the 8:43 mark gone in the third period and Dordt controlled the rest of play.
Tim Nanson earned the win in goal with a 30 save shutout. Dordt outshot the Bears 31-30.
