The Defenders trailed early but repeatedly answered to keep the game tight. After Concordia pushed in front 15–11, Tom Dobson scored at the 10:16 mark to tie the game at 15–15. Later, with Concordia again holding the edge, Nick Hanson finished a layup off a Steven Poulicek assist at 7:19 to even the score at 21–21.

Dordt stayed composed as Concordia briefly regained momentum, and Connor Millikan split a pair of free throws at 4:27 to knot the game at 25–25.  Dordt led 34-32 but a three-point basket gave Concordia a 35-34 halftime lead.

Concordia opened the second half with a quick surge, building a 40–34 lead just over a minute in. Dordt responded behind Millikan, who scored three straight baskets—two jumpers and a finish in the lane—to pull the Defenders back within two. Ty Van Essen then stepped into a three-pointer at 16:48 to make it a one-point game (44–43), and moments later drilled another triple at 16:09 to give Dordt its first lead of the half at 46–44.

The game remained tight into the final 10 minutes before Dordt delivered a decisive stretch. After Concordia cut the margin to 62–59, Van Essen sparked the run with a basket, Judson Henkel followed with a layup, and Jake Proctor capped the surge with a three-pointer at the 6:59 mark, pushing the lead to 69–59 and firmly swinging control to the Defenders.

Dordt is now 7-6 overall and 4-3 and won both GPAC games this week. Concordia is 8-4 overall and 5-2 and has lost two in a row.
