(Thursday, March 18; Sioux Center, Iowa) Waylon Templeton, a senior at Lawson High School (Missouri), has announced his intention to attend Dordt University and join the Defender baseball program.

Honors & Highlights: 2024 1st Team All-District; 31 ip with 20 hits allowed, 36 strikeouts and a 1.34 earned run average.  Was part of a district championship in 2022 and 2024 and helped his team to a Class 3 3rd place state finish. Played for the Lumberjacks in the summer and had 46 innings pitched with 31 strikeouts and a 2.42 earned run average.
