Set two had Dordt in front from the start and a three-point Dordt run late pushed it from 15-12 to 18-12. The VHawks got to within 18-14 but a Dordt 4-0 run effectively put the set out of reach with Van Groningen again recording two ace serves.  Dordt trailed briefly at 7-5 but Dordt answered with a 4-0 run on two kills by Guzman and a pair of Viterbo attack errors. A 7-0 run after Viterbo had tied it at 12-12 put Dordt up 19-12 with Lance
Vermeer finishing the run with a kill and a 6-1 Dordt run to close the set made the final 25-15.

It was Dordt's second win over Viterbo this season and improved Dordt to 9-6 this season and Dordt will play two on the road this weekend against Park and Ottawa.

COACH CHAD HANSON SAID
"This road trip to Viterbo during our spring break had a hurried feel to it with the desire to play the afternoon match and return home ahead of a major blizzard that is projected to intersect our route. Our guys played a really clean and efficient match in which we worked on a few layers of offense to develop our system better. Beating Viterbo twice in one season has been a challenge for us in previous years, and I'm really relieved that we played well in both matches and got the wins."
