Abigail Harding, a senior who runs for the Des Moines Area Community College and competed in both cross country and track for Iowa Falls-Alden High School, has announced her intention to attend Dordt University and join the Defenders cross country and track and field programs.

    • helped lead Des Moines Area Community College to a third place finish at NJCAA National Championship

    • 2x state qualifier in cross country (2021 and 2022)
    • qualified for the state track and field championship in the distance medley and 800m (2021)
    • finished seventh as a member of the Distance Medley at the state meet (2021)
    • 4-year letter winner in both cross country and track and field
    • member of the honor roll all four years

The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).    

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
