Missouri Baptist advanced in Heart of America Athletic Conference men's volleyball tournament play with a 3-0 win over the Defenders in St. Louis on Saturday, April 12.

The Defenders were up 16-14 in set one, but Missouri Baptist went on a 6-0 run to take a 20-16 lead and held on to win 25-20. The hosts grabbed an early lead in set two and had an 11-9 advantage after Cade Schmidt recorded a kill. Missouri Baptist extended the lead to 16-10 but Dordt fought back to within 21-19 after a Schmidt ace.  A Missouri Baptist timeout followed, and a kill followed.  Andres Guzman had a kill to get the difference to 22-20 but that's as close as the Defenders got before falling 25-21.

Set three saw Missouri Baptist go on a 6-1 run early and took an 11-6 lead.  After Dordt rallied to within three the hosts went on another run, this one 7-1 for a 19-10 lead and went on to win 25-18.
