(Tuesday, May 13; Sioux Center, Iowa) Laney Franken, a senior at Sioux Center High School (Iowa), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender golf program.

Stats and Highlights: Earned 2nd Team All-Conference honors and was part of a state qualifying team in 2022.  Averaged 50.3 and 104.9 scores this season.
 
Why Dordt:  "I wanted a Christian college where I can grow in my faith with the people around me. I am excited to be in my hometown while still being in a new atmosphere."

The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).
