The Dordt women's golf team opened the 2025-26 season with day one of the Mount Marty Classic in Yankton, South Dakota. Dordt finished the day in sixth place out of 11 teams with a 329. Dordt is one stroke behind the College of Saint Mary and two strokes behind Doane in fourth place.

The Defenders were led by
Katherine Beekman's 80 and
Jillian Eidsness shot an 81 and is tied for 17
th. Beekman is in 11
th place with 18 holes to go. 74 golfers played the round at Fox Run Golf Course.
Dordt's team score in the round is the second lowest in program history and Beekman's 80 is a career best.
Morningside's Lucy Brown shot a 67 to lead the field and she was five under par and leads the rest of the field by five. Brown's score helped Morningside to a 300 score and an 18-stroke lead in first place.
The teams will play round two of the event on Friday, August 29 at Hillcrest Golf Course.
