The Event:
The Dordt University women's golf team will travel to the Lila Frommelt Invite on Monday and Tuesday, September 8-9 in Whispering Creek  and Two Rivers in Sioux City. The meet is hosted by Briar Cliff and is one of the longstanding women's events in the area.

Last Time At Lila Frommelt Classic
Dordt has not competed in this event since the 2022-23 season.

The Dordt Defender women's golf team shot a 345-347=692 at the Lila Frommelt Invite held in Sioux City, Iowa at Green Valley Golf Course on September 14 and 15, 2022.

The Defenders ended the competition two strokes behind the College of Saint Mary and 10 strokes behind Mount Marty in the 36 hole event.  Iowa Western Community College won the event with a 321-302=623 and was 33 strokes better than the second place finisher.

Olivia Olson led the Defender with an 82-87=169 and tied for 17^th while Rachel Bostwick shot an 86-84=170 and tied for 19^th place. Briar Cliff's Helene Bergmo and Morningside's Sofia Castelan tied for medalist honors as each shot a 150 on the par-72 set up.

A second Dordt team finished ninth with a 385-383=768.

67 golfers competed in the event.

Last Time
The Dordt women's golf team opened the 2025-26 season with a seventh place finish at the Mount Marty Classic in Yankton, South Dakota.  Dordt shot 365 on the second day for a two day total of 336-365=701. Dordt was 21 strokes behind Morningside and 23 behind the College of Saint Mary.

The Defenders were led by Katherine Beekman's 80 and Jillian Eidsness shot an 81-83=164 and Katherine Beekman shot a 80-90=170 to open the season. Beekman was tied for 23^rd and Eidsness moved into a tie for 10^th place. 74 golfers completed play in the 14 team field.

Morningside's Lucy Brown shot a 67-79=146 to hold on to the individual title and Connie Jarm shot a 77-76=153 for runner-up from Doane.

Morningside won the team title with a 300-317=617 and Doane was second with a 327-334=661.

The second round was played at Hillcrest Golf Course and the first at Fox Run.
