(Tuesday, September 16; Sioux Center, Iowa) The first regular-season edition of the NAIA Football Coaches' Top 25 Poll has been released, and the Dordt Defenders have climbed from No. 19 to No. 17 following a 2-0 start.

Dordt opened the season with a 66-7 win over Dakota Wesleyan and followed with a 41-0 victory against Doane. The Defenders will enjoy a bye on September 20 before returning to action.
Dordt earned 216 points in the poll, which will now be conducted weekly for the remainder of the season. Campbellsville (Ky.) is ranked No. 16 with 221 points, while Grand View (Iowa) holds the No. 1 spot with all 16 first-place votes. Within the GPAC, Morningside is ranked No. 4, Northwestern is No. 15, and Mount Marty is receiving votes.
The Defenders' next game is set for Saturday, September 27, when they visit Northwestern in Orange City, Iowa. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
