The Dordt Defender women's golf team is in sixth place after day one of the Siouxland Invite golfed at The Ridge in Sioux Center.  Day two of the 36-hole event will be played at Landsmeer in Orange City, Iowa.

Dordt shot a 349 and trails Mount Marty in fifth place with a 347 and Hastings in fourth with a 344. In a tightly contested competition nine strokes separate third from seventh place and Northwestern has a two-stroke lead over Concordia  (332-334).

Dordt was led by Hope Faber with an 85 and is one of five players tied in 13^th. Ashlee Sweeter is in 18^th with an 86 and Jillian Eidsness is 22^nd with an 88.

Kendra Casey (Morningside) golfed a 74 for the individual lead by three strokes.
