The Event:

• The Dordt University men's golf team goes to Lincoln, Nebraska to compete in the Blue River Classic on September 3 and 4 at Highlands Golf Course.  The event is hosted by Doane.

The Field
Dordt will send a single team to the event along with York, Iowa Western, Briar Cliff, Mount Marty, Midland, and Southeast CC.  Doane will have four teams and Concordia will have three teams in the field.

The golfers will compete in 36 holes on Wednesday, September 3 and will use carts. Thursday's play will feature 18 holes on Thursday.

The Defenders finished 12^th in the event with a 313-305-303=92.  The event was held on September 4-5, 2024.  Indian Hills CC won the event by shooting 32 under par

Last Time
The Dordt Defender men's golf team sent two teams to the Mount Marty Invite hosted on Monday and Tuesday, August 25-26 at Hillcrest Golf Course and Fox Run Golf Course.  Two  18-hole days opened the 2025-26 seaon with the Defenders finishing sixth and eighth in the 14 team field.

Deacon Branderhorst shot a 74-73=147 to lead the Defenders and Joseph Wolfe had a five-shot improvement from day one to day two to finish with a 77-73=150.  Branderhorst finished tied for fifth and Wolfe was tied for 13^th.  The unit led by Branderhost went 308-297=605 and the team with Wolfe shot a 311-298=609. 

Morningside won the event with a 294-291=585.
