(Friday, January 9; Sioux Center, Iowa)  Morgan Christ, a senior at Forest City High School (Iowa), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender cheer program.

Why Dordt: "I chose to attend Dordt University to pursue nursing. I found this was the best place for me to be because of the community and the program. When I had my first visit I loved how centered around God it was, and knew Dordt one of my top choices. As I went on more visits I fell in love with everything about it down to the program, people, cheer, and the overall vibe everyone gave off. I was looking for a program that was going to help me become a nurse, and with all the resources and professors at Dordt, I knew I was going to thrive there."

Coach Mel Knobloch Says: "Morgan is such a sweet girl and will be an excellent addition to our cheer program. Already when she joined our team for a summer camp, I knew that she would fit well with the team and will be a great fit for Defender Athletics. I am excited to see how she will grow physically, mentally, and spiritually during here time here at Dordt next year!"
