The Dordt University women's basketball team continued its dominant GPAC season with a 92–58 victory over Mount Marty on Saturday afternoon inside the DeWitt Gymnasium, improving to 21-1 overall and 15-1 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Dordt set the tone early, knocking down perimeter shots and building momentum through quick offensive bursts. After Mount Marty briefly tied the game at 8-8 midway through the opening quarter, the Defenders answered with a 9-0 run highlighted by back-to-back three-pointers from
Macy Sievers and
Aubrey Burkhart to seize control.
Dordt closed the first quarter on a 10-3 surge, capped by a buzzer-beating three from Sievers at midcourt to take a 30-20 lead. The Defenders blew the game open in the second quarter, outscoring Mount Marty 31-9. Dordt connected on five three-pointers in the period, including a trio from Burkhart, while
Gracie Schoonhoven added points in the lane and the free throw line as the lead ballooned to 61-29 at halftime.
Mount Marty showed some offensive rhythm in the third quarter, but Dordt matched the intensity with timely threes from
Willow Bleeker and Burkhart to keep the margin steady. The Defenders closed the game with balanced scoring in the fourth quarter, extending the advantage to as many as 36 before securing the 92-58 win.
Dordt will travel to face Morningside on Wednesday night in Sioux City.
