• this was the final competition prior to the conference (GPAC) championship next weekend, to be hosted by Dordt University
• in the day's final event, the Defenders 4x400 relay team continued to ascend the national rankings and ran a school record time
  • the Defenders team of Anna Heynen, Kaitlyn Wercinski, Ada Dekkers and Shelby Buwalda finished fourth overall of 18 teams and tops among NAIA teams competing
  • Dordt's time of 3:49.67 hit the 'A' standard and moved the Defenders up to seventh in the NAIA
  • the time also broke the school record (3:50.05) set in 2021 by Anmarie Stuit, Emma Bakker, Annika Rick and Mika Kooistra
• Buwalda had a tremendous race in the 600m where she finished first among 28 runners
  • Buwalda's time of 1:32.51 set the meet record and hit the 'A' standard
  • the senior moved up to fourth in the NAIA
• Addy Crow was the runner-up and qualified for nationals in the 1000m
  • Crow's time of 2:59.03 hit the 'B' standard and ranks No.4 all-time at Dordt
• Joy Koole finished sixth and qualified for nationals in the 3000m on Friday night
  • Koole's time of 10:00 ranks second all-time at Dordt and is No.14 in the NAIA
• Makenna Walhof eclipsed her own school record and qualified for nationals again in the weight throw
  • Walhof placed third overall with a record toss of 17.20m, No.12 in the NAIA
• Anna Heynen was the runner-up in the 200m on Friday and ran the second fastest time in school history
