The Dordt cheer and dance teams competed in Seward, Nebraska on Saturday, February 7, capping a busy stretch of three competitions in three days for the dance team and the cheer team competed on back to back days.

The cheer team scored 72.33 in its performance and finished seventh and the dance team posted an 89.58 and finished third.

Dordt will next compete at Northwestern on February 13-14.

COACH MEL KNOBLOCH SAID

"I am extremely proud of how our teams performed this entire weekend. Our dance team broke a school record today and achieved the highest score that our dance team has ever received, placing just a few points under last year's NAIA dance national champion, Midland. Both our teams brought great energy and enthusiasm today and they were able to increase their overall performance impression scores! We are making great strides as a team, and we look forward to working hard this week in practice to hit some great routines again next weekend!"
