Dordt opened the doubleheader with a 7-3 win over Mount Marty, using patience at the plate and timely power to build separation after a tight middle stretch. After a scoreless first, the Defenders broke through in the second inning by loading the bases with one out and capitalizing on free passes and a key hit.
Drew Oreskes was hit by a pitch and Joey Schlesselman walked before Jarett Herz was also plunked to load the bases.
Ryan Vann delivered the first run with an RBI single, and Jimmy Twombley and
Logan Templeton followed with back-to-back bases-loaded walks to push the lead to 3-0.
Mount Marty answered with single runs in the second and third to trim the lead to 3-2, but Dordt added an insurance run in the fifth when
Logan Harris scored on Schlesselman's sacrifice groundout. After Mount Marty pulled within 4-3 in the bottom of the fifth, Dordt responded decisively in the sixth.
Luke Arndorfer jump-started the inning with a solo home run, and Vann followed immediately with a home run of his own to extend the lead to 6-3. Later in the frame, Twombley came home on a
Stephen Dillender sacrifice fly to cap a three-run inning. Dordt's pitching staff held Mount Marty scoreless over the final two innings to secure the win.

Dordt completed the sweep with a 15-8 win, scoring in five different innings and using two big frames early and late to pull away. The Defenders wasted no time, plating three runs in the first inning.
Ryan Vann led off with a walk and eventually scored on
Logan Templeton's RBI groundout.
Logan Harris followed with an RBI double to score Twombley, and Joey Schlesselman capped the inning with an RBI single for a 3-0 lead.
After Mount Marty got one back in the bottom half, Dordt added a solo home run by
Chisum Demmers in the second to make it 4-1. Dordt extended the lead in the third, taking advantage of an outfield error as two runs scored on Schlesselman reaching base. The Defenders then broke the game open in the fourth with a four-run inning. Vann singled to start the rally and later scored on Templeton's RBI single. Harris delivered again with an RBI double, Templeton scored on a wild pitch, and Oreskes added a sacrifice fly to push the lead to 10-1.
Mount Marty chipped away with runs in the fourth, sixth, and a three-run eighth to close within 11-7, but Dordt answered again. Vann added a solo home run in the eighth for insurance. In the ninth, Dordt put the game out of reach by scoring four runs, all coming with two outs. After a walk and stolen bases put runners in scoring position, Jarett Herz delivered an RBI single. The Defenders then drew three consecutive bases-loaded walks by Twombley, Templeton, and Harris to force in three more runs and extend the lead to 15-7. Mount Marty added a final run in the ninth, but Dordt closed it out.
