(Friday, March 27; Sioux Center, Iowa) The 2025-26 Academic All-District basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The teams have been announced and three Dordt men's basketball players named to the list.
Jake Proctor (Junior; Hesston, Kansas),
Connor Millikan (Junior; Springfield, Nebraska) and
Dylon Schaap (Junior; Sergeant Bluff, Iowa) have been selected. This is the second time Millikan has been on the list and the first time both Proctor and Schaap.
Millikan started all 29 games for the Defenders as they went 16-13 and he averaged 18.2 points per game with 6.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. Millikan is a Business Administration: Construction Management major.
Proctor also started all 29 games and converted 41 percent of his three-point shots while averaging 11.3 points per game with 3.3 rebounds. Proctor is studying Secondary Education.
Schaap appeared in all 29 games in a reserve role and averaged 2.0 points per game with 1.8 rebounds per outing. Schaap is majoring in Engineering: Concentration.
Academic All-District nominees must have at least sophomore academic standing with a cumulative 3.5 grade point average. Nominees must also appear in at least 90 percent of the team's games or start 66 percent of the season's competitions.
